As a MRI Cardiac Radiographer, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality imaging across multiple modalities. You will support the smooth running of a busy, diverse imaging service ensuring every patient receives exceptional care, clarity, and reassurance.

ResponsibilitiesAs a MRI Cardiac Radiographer, you will:
Perform a wide range of diagnostic procedures including MRI, fluoroscopy and X-Ray
Support IV cannulation and contrast administration
Prepare, assess, and position patients for imaging with care, safety, and precision
Operate sophisticated imaging equipment and report any technical issues promptly
Ensure optimal image quality and adjust acquisition parameters appropriately
Complete all documentation accurately, including patient details and imaging records
Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards, IR(M)ER, and Code of Practice guidelines
Monitor patients during scans and respond quickly to clinical changes
Maintain excellent communication with patients, carers, and the MDT

EssentialDegree in Diagnostic Imaging
HCPC registration
Strong experience in MRI
Sound clinical judgement across multiple imaging pathways
Understanding of clinical governance, audit processes, and safety protocols
Excellent communication skills verbal, written, and interpersonal
Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and manage your own workload
Confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Kind, proactive, patient-focused and committed to high-quality care
Computer literacy and understanding of imaging systems
Cardiac CT or cardiac MRI experience
COR-approved cannulation qualification
DR digital radiography and fluoroscopy experience
Previous private or NHS hospital imaging experience
Knowledge of advanced imaging technology developments
Understanding of medical interventions and diagnostic pathways
