Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and certified PET CT Technologist with experience in PSMA scans to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performing PET CT scans, particularly with a focus on prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) imaging, and will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating our patients.
We are looking for an individual who can use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease while ensuring patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way.
This individual will be able to effectively interpret physician orders/instructions and select appropriate software options and imaging parameters to produce the highest-quality PET/CT images/studies possible - enabling physicians to diagnose with pinpoint accuracy and treat with confidence.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, etc., and radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with radioactive materials/patients.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images with a focus on PSMA imaging.
- Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists.
- Train new technologists.
- Trouble-shoot the scanner and peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, etc.).
- Adherence to appropriate policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Certified PET CT Technologist (ARRT or NMTCB required).
- Significant experience in PSMA imaging.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of PET CT protocols and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
