Base Salary: The salary range for this position is $450,000 - $525,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.

Position Overview
The Division Chief will play a central role in advancing clinical excellence, faculty development, education, and research, while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across UC Davis Health. In addition to pursuing their own academic interests, the Chief will oversee and promote the division's teaching and research missions and mentor junior faculty.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership for the Abdominal Imaging Division, including mentorship and professional development of faculty, fellows, and staff
- Oversee clinical operations, ensuring excellence across abdominal MRI, CT, ultrasound, radiography, and image-guided procedures
- Partner with departmental and institutional leaders to advance interdisciplinary patient care and innovation
- Co-lead the division's educational mission, supporting abdominal imaging fellows and teaching residents
- Participate in administrative leadership, including budgeting, staffing, and resource planning
- Lead faculty recruitment, retention, and career advancement
Division & Clinical Environment
- 12 faculty in a collegial, supportive division
- Expertise includes CT- and ultrasound-guided abdominal interventions and advanced obstetric ultrasound (2nd and 3rd trimester)
- No overnight or evening call responsibilities
- Work alongside approximately 30 radiology residents and 3 dedicated abdominal imaging fellows
Advanced Imaging Infrastructure
- 8 GE 1.5T clinical MRI scanners
- 3 clinical 3T magnets + 1 extremity scanner
- Access to research-dedicated MRI systems
- Advanced PET/CT and ultrasound systems
- Fully digital Radiology Department integrated with an award-winning HER
- EXPLORER Molecular Imaging Center - Home of the world's first total-body PET scanner
